Does your business have a marketing strategy? Lots of small businesses don’t – and they can fall into the trap of doing their marketing on the fly, using ad-hoc tactics and not measuring success. This is not only inefficient, but often also ineffective.
A marketing plan is such an important tool, but many small business owners are intimidated and overwhelmed when it comes to creating one. Try thinking of your marketing plan as a road map for your business. Once in place, it can guide you through your business and marketing decisions and keep you on track to success.
This is a hands-on session designed to demystify the process and help you develop a marketing plan for your business. A well thought out marketing plan will help you understand your target market and ideal customer. The plan will become a framework to follow, mapping out your goals and how you plan to achieve them. Most importantly, this session will show you how to set smart goals, and to measure your success.
The workshop covers the following topics:
- How to analyse your market
- Defining who your customer is
- Knowing your competitors
- SWOT Analysis
- Developing a planning framework
- Financial analysis and budgeting
- The four P’s - product, price, place & promotion
- SMART goal setting
- Actioning your plan
- Measuring your success
This is an entry-level workshop ideal for business owners or marketing managers who are involved with marketing the business. The workshop explains how to create a marketing plan and offers practical tips and templates to take away.
