Grant Programs 2018

New grant funding programs for tourism

Several new Federal and State grant funding programs are now open for applications. Some grant programs include parts of Perth as well as regions. Each funding program has different eligibility, funding and purpose.

1. Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants

WA State grants up to $250,000 for most private tourism businesses, tourism associations and local government. Regional WA only. Up to $6.9 million available for all WA industries. Not limited to tourism. Wide variety of projects including infrastructure, marketing, capacity building, skills, etc. Competitive applications. Delivered by the local Regional Development Commission. 2. Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) – Infrastructure Projects Stream

Federal grants from $20,000 up to $10 million exclusively for tourism. Limited to non-profits, associations and local government. Some parts of Perth, and all regions, eligible. Up to $45 million available for Australian tourism. Must be infrastructure projects. Competitive applications. 3. Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) – Community Investments Stream

Federal grants from $5,000 up to $10 million. Not exclusive to tourism. Limited to non-profits, associations and local government. Some parts of Perth, and all regions, eligible. Projects can include events, workshops and strategic planning. Competitive applications. 4. Regional Events Scheme (RES)

WA State grants from $5,000 up to $40,000 for regional tourism events. Regional WA only. Up to $1 million available: $850,000 for the regular pool and $150,000 for the Regional Aboriginal Events Scheme. Competitive applications. Delivered by Tourism WA. Visit http://www.tourism.wa.gov.au/res
