Purpose
The Dec Quarter 2023 saw net business activity decline for the third consecutive quarter. Net business activity was down by -7% compared with Dec Quarter 22, however business activity varied significantly by region.
All regions showed a decline in business activity, reflecting a decline of -17% in intrastate travel business activity. Australia’s North-West region reported -38% net business activity consistent with the ongoing impact of the Kimberley Floods. Destination Perth experienced positive net business activity due primarily to the 11% net increase in international business activity.
