Message from the Hon Roger Cook MLA, Deputy Premier; Minister for Tourism

The McGowan Government, through Tourism Western Australia, is proud to sponsor the 2022 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards.

Hosted annually by Tourism Council Western Australia, the awards recognise the commitment to excellence of businesses, individuals and local governments working in our State's tourism industry.

With the WA border now open to international and interstate visitors, it is extremely pleasing to have reconnected with the world as we welcome the return of holidaymakers to support our world-class tourism industry.

Tourism makes a significant contribution to our economy. Now more than ever, it is important we celebrate the people and products that will help rebuild the industry and continue to deliver our State s unique tourism experiences.

These awards reflect the wide range of sectors that make up our industry, from tourism attractions, accommodation and restaurants to events, tourism retailers, and tour and transport operators.

If you have a quality tourism product, I encourage you to consider nominating for the 2022 awards and the opportunity to receive the recognition you deserve. Winners in selected categories will represent our State nationally at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.

I wish all nominees the best of luck and look forward to celebrating the winners and our industry later this year.

HON ROGER COOK MLA
DEPUTY PREMIER
MINISTER FOR TOURISM
