2021 GWN7 Top Tourism Town Awards

For the first time, the winners of the GWN7 Top Tourism Town Award and GWN7 Small Tourism Town Award will go into a National competition to represent Western Australia with the chance to be crowned Australia's Top Tourism Town or Small Tourism Town.

The GWN7 Top Tourism Town Awards recognise and reward towns in Western Australia that demonstrate a strong commitment to encouraging tourism and increasing visitation to their destination.

Nominations for the 2021 GWN7 Top Tourism Town Awards have now closed. The winners will be announced at the 2021 Perth Airport WA Regional Tourism Conference Dinner in Geraldton on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

There are two categories:

GWN7 TOP TOURISM TOWN AWARD – Population over 5,000 people.
GWN7 SMALL TOURISM TOWN AWARD – Population under 5,000 people. 

2021 Winners Announced

The south west town of Busselton has been named the winner of the 2021 GWN7 Top Tourism Town Award at the 2021 Perth Airport WA Regional Tourism Conference held in Geraldton tonight.

Busselton claimed the Gold Medal in the Top Tourism Town category, with Manjimup claiming Silver and Exmouth taking out Bronze. Busselton will receive a $25,000 airtime package to promote the town on the regional television network GWN7.

In the Small Tourism Town category, the Gold Medal was awarded to Dwellingup, which takes home a $10,000 airtime package from GWN7. The Silver Medal was won by Coral Bay, and Bronze went to Balingup.
