Tourism Council WA, in partnership with Tourism Western Australia (TWA), is delighted to provide Award nominees with several entrant support initiatives to assist them with the preparation of their Awards submission.

Awards Submission Webinars

Tourism Council WA’s Award webinars assist prospective entrants to prepare submissions and gain important information on the awards process. The webinars will cover:

  • An explanation of the entire awards process
  • Clarification of the rules of entry
  • Key dates
  • Participation benefits
  • Using the online program
  • Entrant support
  • Correct category placement
  • An explanation of each question
  • Suggestions on how to answer each question
  • How to avoid making common mistakes
  • What judges are specifically looking for in a submission

Please note, there are separate webinars for some categories where they have a different set of questions. Please consider attending the webinar specific to the category you have entered for the best advice. Categories with specific webinars are: Festivals & Events, Major Festivals & Events, Tourism Marketing & Campaigns, Ecotourism, Cultural Tourism, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Tourism Experiences, New Tourism Business, Excellence in Local Government Tourism.

The webinars will be presented by the Chair of Judges alongside the Awards Coordinator.

Category Toolkits

Category-specific Toolkits have been designed to assist entrants in developing their submission by providing a breakdown of sub-questions as well as offering suggestions of what to include when answering.

Important Note: A Toolkit will be sent to you via email once you have nominated.

Draft Submission Review 

All entrants in the business categories will be given the opportunity to have their draft submission reviewed prior to lodging their final submission. Areas within a submission that may require further development will be highlighted and suggestions provided on how to make improvements. Conditions apply.

Statistics Reports

Tourism Council WA members can access complimentary statistics reports on visitor numbers and demographics to include in their submission. To request a report, send us an email.
