Purpose
The September Quarter 2023 saw net business activity of ‐9% compared to September Quarter 22, however business activity varied significantly by region.
Australia’s North‐West region reported ‐52% net business activity consistent with the impact of the Kimberley Floods and Australia’s South West reported ‐24% business activity predominantly due to the decline in intrastate tourism from Perth. All other regions experienced an increase in business activity.
While the September Quarter 23 was in decline ‐9% net business activity, it was an improvement on the June Quarter 23 decline of ‐22% net business activity.
